As we enter this exciting phase of growth the company is seeking a dynamic professional to lead our sales team.
PointerWare is a Toronto-based software company which develops easy-to-use computing products for seniors. For decades this nascent market has been overlooked by traditional software vendors but is set to explode with the advent of inexpensive touch hardware, ubiquitous broadband Internet and the impending demographic shift. The company's primary market is senior living communities, and its recently launched software suite is already in use by a leading long-term care provider. The company has also been garnering national media attention and significant interest from potential institutional customers and partners.
Ideally you are a self-starter with extensive experience selling to or have numerous contacts within the senior living industry, which would include independent and assisted living, skilled nursing and long term care facilities.

Responsibilities
The Head of Sales is a "hands on" senior management role accountable for planning, coordinating, and executing sales opportunities, as well as developing and executing partnership strategies in the US and beyond. In this role, candidates will:
Work with prospects and customers to identify changing customer and market needs/requirements and work with the company’s management to further develop key product applications
Conduct prospecting activities in key target segments. Will represent Company at events, trade shows and key customer presentations and negotiate customer/partner contracts.
Develop, initiate and track the performance of sales plans to meet stated revenue goals of the Company
Qualifications
Strong rolodex of decision-makers at senior living chains, individual facilities and equipment suppliers.
Post-Secondary education
At least 10 years of experience in business development, sales and
relationship management, or equivalent customer-facing experience.
Demonstrated track record of success in account management and meeting sales targets.
Location
This is a teleworking, work-from-home position. Some travel may be necessary.
